Sri Muthappan Madappura is an integral part of the cultural life of Chemberi, a hilly village in Kannur district. Located in Eruvesshi Panchayat, it is a sacred center where devotion and art come together. Numerous devotees visit this shrine seeking the blessings of Sri Muthappan, one of Kerala’s most revered Theyyam deities. The main attraction of the Madappura is the annual Muthappan Theyyam performance and the associated rituals conducted every year. Open to people of all castes and religions, the Madappura stands as a symbol of communal harmony, unity, and brotherhood among the local people. Situated in a serene environment along the banks of the Eruvesshi River, the shrine is also blessed with natural beauty.
